It is a remote location with a surprisingly rich history. It was a major shipping point, a tourist destination, and a booming little economy, all before the turn of the century. It became a city in 1908." The authors made extensive use of the Point Arena Record newspaper (1888-1931) and includes many rare photographs. Also includes sections on points as far north as Navarro, and as far south as Stewarts Point. |
