Started out renting, bought a builder's spec. house on Wildmoor Reach (24/141) in the early stages of construction and was able to refine the plan without changing the footprint. I then designed and built a house at 1440 Spindrift. (3/4/5). Later bought another house on Flycloud Close (30/4) and remodeled the interior. Lived here starting 1990 to 2003 |

After the war, Art Center School of Design in Los Angeles. My grandfather was a residential building contractor in LA, and my father was an architect. After Leaving Art Center I worked for various architects. I formed a Building Design firm in Pasadena, with another soon-to-be Licensed Architect, and we both got Contractor's Licenses in 1951. We were designing & building residences on speculation as well as for clients. Later, after moving to La Jolla and forming the firm of Liebhardt & Weston, I received my Architectural License in 1961. |

Upon retiring from my Architectural practice after 1990 after several previous visits to the area, Wanda & I decided to try renting, to see how we would fit in. We soon discovered the magic and thus started a permanent housing program. As we acquired more & more friends our roots got deeper. It was Ted Smith who got me to join the TSR long range planning program. Now when asked what was the best thing you liked about TSR, our answer is always "it was the people!"
